Working with Diverse People

Training Provider: Australian Careers Consortium

Gain the skills and knowledge required to work respectfully with people from diverse social and cultural groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The CHCDIV001 Working with Diverse People training directly aligns with policy objectives focused on improving employment outcomes for people with disability by equipping practitioners with the skills to recognise and address social and cultural bias, communicate in a culturally safe and respectful way, and tailor support to individual needs.

By requiring participants to reflect on their own social and cultural perspectives and the influences that shape bias - such as upbringing, education, media, and personal experiences - the training enhances workforce capability and supports more equitable and effective employment outcomes for people with disability.

Course Structure

  • Appreciate diversity and inclusiveness, and their benefits
