Fundamentals for Inclusive Employment is the industry‑standard induction program for frontline and managerial staff delivering the new Inclusive Employment Australia contract.

Developed by genU Training in partnership with the Department of Social Services (DSS), the Centre for Inclusive Employment, Disability Employment Australia (DEA) and National Disability Services (NDS), the course has been designed as the complete retooling and onboarding induction program for all Inclusive Employment Australia providers. It equips employment consultants and managers with the skills, knowledge, and tools to deliver person-centred, high-quality services that create sustainable employment outcomes for people with disability.

Grounded in the six National Standards (NSDS) that apply to disability services providers in Australia, the Inclusive Employment Australia Performance Framework and aligned to the Inclusive Employment Australia Deed and Guidelinesthe course bridges theory and practice, offering practical techniques you can apply immediately to improve services for participants, employers, and communities.

Funded enrolment allocations
The Centre for Inclusive Employment has committed to funding 5,000 enrolments in the Fundamentals for Inclusive Employment course.

Funded places will be allocated to providers over three rounds between 13 October and April 2026. Allocations are based on the number of staff each provider registered via the Expression of Interest (EOI).

Providers must achieve a 90 % completion rate for each tranche to unlock the next allocation; unused enrolments not taken up within 1 month will be requested to be reallocated to providers with demonstrated need and high completion rates.
