The DEA Papers: 2 Making NDIS and IEA Work Better Together

  • 15 October @ 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm
  • CPD POINTS: 2

The DEA Papers is a numbered collection of papers exploring the future of Australia’s disability employment ecosystem. Each paper stands on its own, but the real value will come as the collection grows. Every new paper will add another piece to the conversation, creating a body of thinking that can be built on, debated, challenged, and refined over time.

This is a free webinar in which Dr Ann Nevile and DEA CEO Peter Bacon will discuss the second paper, Blended Transitions: Making NDIS and IEA Work Better Together.

The paper starts from a simple observation: people do not live their lives inside program boundaries or funding silos. Some people engage with NDIS employment supports. Some engage with Inclusive Employment Australia. Many engage with both. Others rely on community organisations, support coordinators, allied health professionals, or family networks at different points in their journey. The problem is that while people’s lives are interconnected, the systems designed to support them often are not.
