Lunch & Learn – Why Cancer Belongs in the Inclusive Employment Conversation
Join us for this free Lunch & Learn session to explore the employment impact, supports and lessons for people diagnosed with cancer. Delivered by the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Work and Cancer Program supports people at any stage of their cancer experience to get back to work, stay in work, or explore new work. This session draws on practical insights and evidence from Peter Mac clinical staff and the Work and Cancer Program team and will challenge common assumptions about the experiences, and ongoing needs, of people diagnosed with cancer when participating in work.
Participants will gain a greater understanding of the impacts of cancer, the barriers that can exist when seeking and maintaining employment, and the role employers and employment professionals can play in creating inclusive workplaces.
