This free session explores how to best support people living with a mental health diagnosis to prepare for, find, and maintain meaningful employment. It will highlight the benefits of employment for mental health, key considerations when providing support throughout the employment journey, and the valuable role of collaborating with allied health supports such as psychology and dietetics in promoting long-term success. Real-world case studies will bring the discussion to life and demonstrate practical, person-centred approaches that can make preparing for, and finding work more accessible, sustainable, and meaningful.

This Lunch & Learn series is a collaboration between Disability Employment Australia (DEA) and the Centre for Inclusive Employment. Sessions are designed to provide evidence-based information and practical insights to support continuous improvement in practice and the quality of services for people with disability.

 

SPEAKER INFORMATION

Liz Trickey, General Manager Employment Services, ORS Group

Liz has been with ORS for over 20 years, working across the employment services, mental health and disability employment, workplace rehabilitation and NDIS industries in many different roles, including site, region, service area and national management roles. Liz brings strong knowledge of Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) and the NDIS Finding and Keeping a Job (FAKJ) program, alongside contract/service area knowledge, performance, staff morale and team culture. As General Manager – Employment Services, Liz is able to work within any team to identify and address process, performance and system issues and subsequently generate improved performance across the business.

Nicole Saliba, Growth and Partnerships Specialist, ORS Group

Nicole is a passionate Accredited Practising Dietitian with over thirteen years experience. She has a strong background in marketing and business development and currently works as a growth and partnerships specialist at the ORS group, a prominent national allied health and employment services provider. Nicole is passionate about supporting individuals living with mental health diagnoses and connecting them with services whether it be employment or allied health in order to help them overcome barriers, achieve their goals and improve their health outcomes and quality of life.
