Workshop 3 – Structuring Effective Coaching Conversations (GROW Model)
Overview
This workshop introduces a simple, practical structure (GROW) to help leaders guide short, focused coaching conversations that drive clarity, solutions and action.
What participants will learn:
• How to structure a coaching conversation using a clear framework
• How to help others define goals and identify realistic actions
• Techniques to support problem-solving without taking over
• How to build accountability through effective follow-up
In practice:
Participants will practise running short coaching conversations using real scenarios, applying the model to everyday leadership interactions.
Workshop 4 – Coaching Through Challenge: Feedback, Boundaries and Hard Conversations
Overview
This workshop focuses on applying a coaching approach in more complex and challenging situations, including giving feedback and navigating difficult conversations.
What participants will learn:
• How to approach performance conversations with clarity and care
• Techniques to maintain psychological safety while addressing issues
• How to set clear expectations and boundaries using a coaching style
• How to manage resistance and keep conversations constructive
In practice:
Participants will work through realistic scenarios, practising how to balance support and accountability in challenging conversations.

Linda Pierson is an experienced coach and facilitator specialising in leadership, mindset and behaviour change. With over a decade of coaching and facilitation practice, she works across corporate, government and community sectors, supporting leaders to build confidence, clarity and capability in themselves and others.
Known for her calm, grounded presence and ability to quickly build trust, Linda creates psychologically safe environments where participants feel supported while also being constructively challenged. Her approach combines strong emotional intelligence, practical insight and structured thinking to help people translate learning into real-world outcomes.
Linda brings significant experience from senior leadership and project management roles at Australia Post, alongside deep expertise in communication, coaching and behaviour change. She is passionate about helping leaders move beyond problem-solving to develop their people, strengthening performance, engagement and long-term capability.
