Wayne Bennett AM to speak at National Disability Employment Forum
Disability Employment Australia (DEA) is excited to announce Wayne Bennett AM, Head Coach of the Brisbane Broncos, will be delivering the keynote address at our National Leaders’ Forum on 19 November 2015.
Wayne will share his own story as a visionary and successful leader to senior leaders in the DES sector who have come together to discuss the future of disability employment. Drawing from both his professional and personal experiences, Wayne will offer his insights for promoting employment prospects and the potential of people with disability.
Disability Employment Australia CEO Rick Kane says we are thrilled to have Wayne Bennett speak to our sector’s leaders. Someone like Wayne Bennett who has achieved so much can provide real insights to our sector.
The one day Forum will also examine the recently released NDEF Discussion Paper’s policy proposals, including a keynote address from John Riley, head of the DSS Disability Employment Taskforce. Dr Garth Bennie, CEO of the New Zealand Disability Support Network, will offer a New Zealand perspective.
The DEA National Leaders’ Forum is a biannual event in which DES leaders from our member organisations come together to hear from some of Australia’s best minds on the most up-to-date issues related to disability employment. They also network with the best in the sector debating current issues and emerging trends.
The National Leaders’ Forum will take place this Thursday on the 19th November 2015 at Hotel Jen, Brisbane. A summary of the event, and a program, can be found here: http://disabilityemployment.org.au/events-and-training/leaders-forums/
