Luke is often asked to present or be part of panels where he can share his personal experience as well as his professional experience through his roles with Inclusion Australia and VALID. Luke has an engaging energy and excellent knowledge of disability advocacy. In 2025 with Inclusion Australia\, Luke attended the Conference of State Parties in New York. \nBrooke Canham is an experienced self-advocate with over 5 years’ experience working in the disability sector\, currently as a Policy Officer with Inclusion Australia. She has worked on national projects and policy reform on a wide range of topics\, including supported decision-making\, employment and social security rights\, and health advocacy. She lives and works on Whadjuk Noongar Country in Western Australia.

An award-winning educator and researcher\, his work focuses on promoting effective and accessible careers and employability learning in schools\, universities\, and community services. \nPeter Bacon\, CEO\, Disability Employment Australia \nPeter started as Chief Executive Officer at DEA in March 2023\, having spent over 15 years in the disability employment sector. He began his career on the frontline as an Employment Advisor to claimants of health-related benefits in East London\, before moving into a range of business development and strategy. He has always been passionate about the transformational impact that decent work can have on people’s lives. \nSimone Casey\, Principal Research Fellow\, Evidence\, Centre for Inclusive Employment \nDr Simone Casey is Principal Research Fellow\, Evidence at the Centre for Inclusive Employment\, CSI Swinburne. She has extensive experience in policy advocacy\, research\, and communications across employment services\, community services\, and welfare in Australia and the UK\, including 14 years as a policy advisor at Jobs Australia. Simone holds a PhD in employment services and explores the intersections of marketisation\, welfare conditionality\, unemployment\, and social security. She has written widely on the challenges people face within policy and contract systems and describes herself as a “prac-ademic\,” translating research into practical strategies to improve employment outcomes for people with disabilities and others facing barriers to quality work.
