WCIG is a community based not for profit, incorporated association. We currently have a new opportunity for two Community Liaison Officers (CLO)/Facilitators to join us as part of our new DARE to be DisABILITY Friendly program.

The successful applicants will need a strong passion within the disability space, especially in relation to disability awareness. We need people who want to make a genuine difference across Victoria by having a positive impact on how our community engages with people living with disability. We are looking for people with lived experience of disability and who have a passion for social inclusion and disability awareness.

Based in Footscray with travel across Victoria, we have a full time position working 38 hours per week and a part time role working 19 to 30.4 hours per week, both with flexible working hours. Availability to work after hours and weekends will be required. Both positions are fixed term roles until 30 June 2018.

The WCIG CLO/Facilitators will have the exciting opportunity to work from the very beginning of this new program and be part of the development and implementation to get the DARE to be DisABILITY Friendly into the community. The DARE to be DisABILITY Friendly program is a newly created program that will provide disability awareness training to a variety of sectors such as community and social groups, not for profit organisations and employers.

As a CLO/Facilitator, you will have strong people skills and be able to communicate well with people from all parts of the community. You will be able to identify and engage key stakeholders throughout Victoria (both metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria) to promote the DARE to be DisABILITY Friendly program. Part of this exciting new role will also be to conduct facilitation of the DARE program to the community through face to face and online delivery.

You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job.
